EPIPHANY OF A STRUGGLE

Poem Bradley E. Lloyd wrote before he started the Creative Writing and English degree program at Southern New Hampshire University

I look at myself in the mirror and am proud of what I see,
I am not letting negativity get a hold of me;
Sometimes I feel down,
Other times I feel glad;
I just have to realize that it is up to me whether I feel angry or sad,
Life is never easy;
Life is full of valleys, mountains, and hills,
To live a decent life you must have dollar bills;
It doesn't matter if you have a little or a lot,
You must follow your bliss;
Just make sure to stay in that spot,
People say that you can't follow your dreams;
Well, everything is impossible,
Until it is not!
